Cheesedrug

Hi all thanks for looking. I recently moved into a rooftop apartment on top of an office building in Atlanta. There isn't anything but street parking so I drive the SH into the building, onto the elevator and down to a locked basement area. Problem is there is 1, 8" step to get up first. I can often get my roomate to come down and lift the bike with me...but if he isn't home I usually persuade a friendly local to help out (not convenient to me or anyone nearby). Any suggestions on a cheap ramp that I could buy or build to do this solo? I was thinking of getting a post approximately 6"x6" or 8"x8" (if available) and cutting it at a 45 degre angle.??? Don't really want to spend to much on this if possible. ($30 or less is ideal) Thanks for all your help.

8" I'd probably just pop it up using the gas.... but a small wedge should work great and make getting it up just a tad easier then popping the step with nothing

Check out harbor frieght, they might have some cheap ramps. Now that you're in Atlanta if you're looking to get together for rides with some good peeps check out www.blokessportbike.com lots of group rides and bike nights and some track days too.

Check out accessories for handicap wheelchairs access. They make very small aluminum ramps to get over door sills that would be perfect for your app.
