Thinking about selling the hawk.....
Im in the middle of buying a house and I need the extra money from my Superhawk payments to go toward my mortgage. I dont want to sell my bike, but I havent been riding it as much as I should especially to be paying $187 a month on it. My average riding time is about once a week for about 3-4 hours, due to my busy schedule that I did not have when I first bought the bike. Its an '02 with 5k miles on it. I got Jardine RT-1 high mount slip ons, Innovation frame sliders, and new tires( replacing the one I just blew out). The bike is in mint condition, never wheelied ( I wrecked my last bike a Triumph Sprint RS riding a wheelie, scared the **** out of me, so I wheelie no more!) I bout it in June 03 brand new, I owe like $7500 on it because I rolled in all my gear, and a 5 year extended warranty into the financing. Im including all my gear with the bike, how much do you all think I could possibly get for my hawk and gear? Or would it be better just to keep the bike and suck it up elsewhere on my budget? My budget is pretty tight and I would like to live comfortably especially since I cant ride as much as I want to.

Re: Thinking about selling the hawk.....
I am sorry to hear you want to sell the bike.
I would strongly suggest you don't, since you will loose a lot of money, and you will end up getting another bike in a while (if you are like me) and wondering why in the hell did you sell the last bike anyways.
If you really want to sell this bike, however, I suggest you selling the aftermarket parts separately. Them on the bike don't add that much value in resale price. Take the time to post it here and elsewhere (ebay) and sell the pieces separately, and sell the bike on its own.
Good luck.

Re: Thinking about selling the hawk.....
After checking Blue Book again, and NADA, and making some more calculations, I would loose a lot more than I thought. The bike is valued at $6200 private sale, way less than I need right now, so I will just have to man up and cut something else out of my budget. So Im keeping the hawk, your right, I would end up just buying another bike after I moved into my new house.
