Texas Hill Country

Went on a ride through Hill Country today. The highlight was definately FM337 (located around Vanderpool, TX). Anyone else ever in that area? It seems like I always meet someone new when I ride out there...but no other SuperHawks have been sighted yet.

Been riding that area for over 15 years, both motocycle and my road bicycle. Try State Hiway 16 from 337 to Kerrville. Very scenic with nice surface and curves. Avoid the weekends and the traffic. Being out in east TX now, I just get to visit the area when I go visit my parents. With all the good riding in the area(Hill Country around Blanco) for motorcycles, road bikes and mtn bikes, I tow a trailer loaded for bear.

There will be a time------- When my Son can run the business for a few months without me, I will be riding thru there. I am going to see America on a bike, Either the Hawk or my trusty old 87 GSXR 750.My boy is 18 and a full time apprentice. I must be patient.

Every time I go to Garner S.P. I always tell myself I need to bring the bike out that way. The roads are absolutely awesome. Maybe I should invest in some more ergo friendly equipment for my bike (like the heli-bars), cuz when I put more than a hundred miles or so on my bike I feel like I've had my a$$ kicked. Went out to Big Bend a couple years ago, and I was sore for a week.
