TEXAS HILL COUNTRY RIDE
TEXAS HILL COUNTRY RIDE
April 21-23rd. In the heart of the hill country. We will be based out of Kerrville but hotel rooms are filling up quickly with other groups. If any of you guys are looking for an excuse to ride the hills, here's your chance. There will be all kinds of riders on all kinds of machines with all kinds of speed/abilities. The one thing I WILL QUARANTEE is that you will have a good time. We have fun. I rode with this same group on our west Texas (Big Bend) ride last November: https://www.superhawkforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=1541

Sounds like FUN !
Have schedule conflicts that weekend
Read as: Wife needs ride to airport Friday & kids will party if no one is here all weekend

Also Lone Star Track Day is that Friday.
Life was so much simpler when I was single !

Re: TEXAS HILL COUNTRY RIDE
Hey Guys,
I will probably arrive late thursday or early Friday and ride Friday/Saturday and use Sunday for returning home. The "official" ride is saturday only but many (most?) will be there Friday too. Trust me, we will hit all the good roads including 16, the triple 3's, 55, etc. plus others you may not know as locals will be on the ride as well as the route planning.
We have former motorcycle dealers (remember the bmw superbike/daytona winning dealership of the 70's?), former indycar team owners, porsche aftermarket business owners, former racers, etc.; it's an eclectic, talented and FUN bunch to say the least. The bench racing/BS sessions in the evenings are almost as much fun as the riding. At present, there are about 20 "committed" to attending.
Here's the info for the motel we are staying but rooms may be gone so you might need to search for another (I strongly suggest ASAP)
Super 8 - Kerrville
2127 Sidney Baker Street (Main East-West drag of Kerrville, and also Hwy. 16)
Kerrville, Texas 78028
830-896-1511
Contact person there is: Christi
Tentatively the only planned lunch or dinner spots for the ride are lunch at the "Lone Star Motorcycle Museum" on Saturday afternoon, and if we can get this many people a reservation, the "Hill Top Cafe" on the way back to the hotel Saturday evening.

Re: TEXAS HILL COUNTRY RIDE
Howdy folks, Jim Thomas here, new to the forum. I live in San Antonio and ride these roads regularly on my SMR's.
Wish I could make this ride, otherwise engaged.
I'll keep an eye here from time to time for future rides, let me know if you are riding in the area and I may be able to go along.
