single exhaust instead of two cans?

Has anyone done this, seems like Honda went out of their way to route 2 cans instead of one, I doubt sound would change all that much. Thoughts? g

Do a search, it has been dealt with in numerous threads (including by yours truly)

how about these?
https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...single+exhaust
or
https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...single+exhaust
or this one:
https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...single+exhaust
I found these on the first page and a half of results out of 5 pages.
Search "single exhaust" and read the posts even if they dont say single exhaust in the description.
They are returned in the results because each post says "single exhaust" somewhere in the post.

Problem is, I keep getting sidetracked with other chit. Like, for example, the CNC milling machine project I bought yesterday.

The exhaust will get done, but I can't say when, for certain.

Jardine 2-1 is more likely for the RC51 (although I do recall reading they made one for the VTR, but it was never confirmed). You can simply adapt your existing header, just cut it at the collector and hook up a link pipe. I ran my VTR this way for two years. Result: bump in low-end, slight rise in top-end, hole in torque curve between 4.8-6.5 K

I did what Mikstr described, however, I only have a small lag somewhere between 6300-6900 RPM, and it's only when you try to snap the throttle in that range. Otherwise, she pulls all the way through.

I have NOT rejetted, although, I know I should. That will come soon enough.

The exhaust note is way different.

Is the exhaust not worse? I want to do this to reduce some weight. Does anyone know what the rear portion of the stock exhaust weighs?

Yea, "dont ask me any questions because I dont know anything" great line. I dont think I am going to bid, because I am not sure its for a superhawk. I do want to get rid of my Jardine high mounts and get some low slip ons. g

I'd like the guy to post a pic or two showing the rear cylinder pipe connection. The view he has makes it look as though the rear pipe is really short.

The back end of the pipe looks home made out of mild steel. This makes me think it is not a Jardine system, but something someone cooked up using a Jardine can.

Maybe someone on the forum will get it and show some better pics.

If i could get it for $100 I would buy it and post some pics, but i think it will go up when the auction gets closer to ending.
