Recommendation for carb synch tool?
G'day guys.
I am looking to buy a carb synch tool, and there are a few types on the market. I know a couple of you have said to make my own, but in Australia this is most probably not economical due to the cost of the gauges. The parts would cost more than a complete unit here.
So what type and brand of units have you used, and what would you reccommend? Are the cheaper mercury type gauges (such as one of the Motion Pro tools) effective on the twin?
Cheers,
Shayne

Thanks TX, is the one you have the $65 USD steel bodied one, or do you have the $100 polycarbonate one (plenty of dearer ones but I am not looking at them)?
Anyone else got any reccommendations?

If you plan on having a twin for a while, try this one:

It's called the Twinmax. I have used one personally and really thought it was THE ****. Beats mercury sticks every time and stores a lot easier too.
Personally, I own sticks - the Motion Pro more expensive ones. I had the cheaper metal one and it was a POS. I have this plastic one for probably 5 years and even being moved twice it has not leaked or broken. Store the little o-rings in a plastic baggy as well as the fittings. If you leave the o-rings on the fittings they will dry and crack. The brass fittings will corrode if left to the elements.

I've used the Twinmax... and it does work well ... and is a nice compact design.. But I really did not think it functioned any better as a sync tool, the the mecurey sticks.
