VTR 1000 holds the lap record at the TT circut? I don't think so.

Sorry but I am not going to go get a pilot's license just to ride a bike....that thing has way too much air time.

I rode and drag raced an 06 1000RR last weekend. What a blast! Where our VTR's start to peter out it starts to hit its powerband. Even though much slower my VTR compliments the 1000rr very nicely, as it is fun to switch from one to another and visa versa. I plan to get a 03-05 ZX-10R as soon as I can justify the cost. I'm also keeping an eye out for a wrecked one that I can make into a street legal race bike.

Hey Erion_squid, Washington state doesn't require motorcycle insurance.

Yeah your right but not for me because I don't finance. If I can't pay cash I won't buy it. That's why I'll have to find a wreck to rebuild rather than buying a shiny new 12k dollar bike. Besides, I've always thought insurance was a form of gambling. If you wreck it you should pay for it. Liability requirements are necessary for accidents that excede the average drivers ability to pay, full coverage requirements are to protect the bank from having to recoupe a loan balance from a wrecked bike. If people just wouldn't try to exploit the system and try to dodge bills this world would be a much cheaper place to live.

Kinda got off on a tangent! Feels kinda theraputic though.
