Reason #184.66565E to wear gear (not too nasty)
Supposedly this happened somewhere in my state. Info was posted on my loca forum. Member said she found the pics off a Virginia sportbike forum but they mentioned this happening while in Alabama. I never heard of it locally but either way, this is why I'm glad I put the money down and have gear. This guy probably would of walked away unscathed had he worn something other than blue jeans!!!
AGATT folks.
Not sure what all happened with the bike catching flames and all.

Yeah, saw this same thread on another forum. According to the rider, Came too hot into the turn leaned it over till the exhaust dragged and the bike broke loose. Unlike the Superhawk the Gixxer is very difficult to drag any hard parts. I ride my GSXR 600 at the track and have yet to touch down anything but my knees. This guy does not look like he possess the skill to drag a hard parts and keep the bike upright. More than likely he came in hot and grabbed a handfull of front brake and we all know the rest. I would guess to say this is his first bike too and his buddies told him to get the 170hp bike cause he would "grow into it".

Another perspective
Not to sound cold but...the forks look good and there's plenty of people on the forum lokking to upgrade the SH. LOL
It would have really made the pictures if a couple of people stood by the fence holding up signs for points:
Judges Scores for Routine:
Germany 9.5
USA: 9.4
Russia: 9.7
"...and while the scores seem a bit on the high side for this routine he certainly had the crowd behind him at the end. Right you are Jim, he really stuck the landing."

His leg actually doesn't look that bad, but I'm guessing he did most of his sliding in the weeds, not the pavement. So it would've been much worse.
I've been sloppy about wearing jeans and even slacks for riding to work and around town.
I put on the riding pants for all canyon rides.
