porsche took me out! Pics inside
I was on my way to work after lunch yesterday when a Porsche 911 pulled out right in front of me crossing the street into Sonic and I hit him going about 45-50 mph. I don’t remember much, but they said I went over the car and when I came to I was about 15-20 yards on the other side of it in the road. Somehow I didn’t break anything, I have a fat lip (think I bit it), a few burns on my legs, a bunch of bruises, and I’m really sore. It’s pretty hard to get around today because it hurts to move. I came out really good, I’m very thankful! On the other hand, the bike didn’t come out quit as well.

I didn't see the damage on the porsche but my brother said it took out the door and part of the back fender. I did see the mirror laying on the ground. I had some tunnel vision going on and didnt really know what was going on at the time.

I completely understand the tunnel vision problem. Couldn't see past my dislocated knee when I wrecked in July 04. I just thought those might have been immediately post-accident photos after getting the bike on a trailer, and that you might have some of the jackass's porsche. Here's to a speedy recovery, and have this bit of consolation: as crunched as it looks, your 'Hawk will be cheaper to repair than the 911.

Glad you're OK. I've never seen forks just SNAP like that. Must have been a pretty hard hit. They usually just bend back into the engine.

Does anybody else wish that better horn was fitted to our bikes ? Sometimes there's no time for any horn to be used quickly enough, I know, but why are the horns on motorcycles like kids birthday party horns ? Glad it wasn't any worse than it was for you. At least you got to f*ck up somebody's Porche and not just some raggedy Ford.

Sounds like your "Guardian Angel" earned their keep during that accident! Glad to hear you didn't break anything.
A louder horn would be a good thing on these bikes... I know they make louder horns, 130 db or more for vehicles so you should be able to adapt one to the Superhawk.

Rick I definitely agree about the Gaurdian Angel, I still can't believe I didnt break something. My heads still hurting pretty bad, and its still tough to get around b/c of all the soreness, but I'm not complaining, it could have been MUCH worse. Thanks again!
