I went on a long ride today around some twisties. My friend let me ride his 05 cbr 1000 today. I know it is faster but I wasn't impressed on how it felt and rode, It had a **** load of power. I felt like I could ride my SH better in the turns. Maybe it was just me but I was sure happy to be back on my SH.

 

What do I think?

Sterile & lacking in any form of soul... I know they go quick & make a great track bike, but wheres the soul????

Unfortunately I haven't been able to scam a ride on this particular bike but I did ride a new kawa zx10r a couple of months back.

The riding position on these new rr's has become so extreme it's ridiculous on the street. It was on stock suspension settings and was too stiff for typical street speeds but I bet it felt great at 130mph tho'! :-)

 

Anything with a inline 4 is soul-less as far as I am concerned.

They may make better power and have more torque - but there soul-less

There is a lot to be said of character, the nice purr of a twin works for me. Yep the SH has me hooked.
