Pirelli Strada

Of course this was a week too late for me in my search for tires that will last past 5K miles, but maybe someone else will give them a try on the Hawk.

Thanks for that - I had been debating on a pair of those for the start of next season. Sounds like a done deal.

Re: Pirelli Strada

One rider I know and how he rides (he rips it up) only got 2800 miles out of a rear. I was dejected to hear that as I was hoping for more. YMMV.

Re: Pirelli Strada

Man. If I had not just got a set of D208's ( not put on yet) I would have given the Pirelli Diablo Stradas a go. Guess I'll just have to use up the 208's before the spring  .

Damn, how many miles did he get on regular Diablos?

He said: 1900 out of diablos, 2300 out of Pilot powers.

It appears to me that if you are hard on tires then these ST compounds aren't going to last THAT much longer. My best: I got 4500 on a dunlop 220 with about 60% of that pure interstate droning 1/2 way across the country. If would seem that if you get decent miles out of sport tires, then the strada should bode well also.

I won;t probably need one until next spring now that cooler road temps have finally arrived here and my corsas are new. Summer road temps seem to literally melt sport tires down here.

I don't think I've ridden in temps above 80 in the last yr and got over 5000 on the standard diablos - although 60% of that is highway and a good portion was in sub 50 degree weather.

I've got Pilot Powers on my Aprilia with 2000 miles on them now and they look like they should get another 1000 miles.

Re: Pirelli Strada

I am.
Avon Azaros av49/50 SP Pro

So far I like them. The handling and traction is excellent. I have about 900 miles on them and they are wearing better than I expected for a soft tire.
