Exclamation Noob question... (license plate)

I just picked up a 2001 red super hawk with 3900miles on it and the previous owner changed the tail and remounted the license plate in a location that makes it illegal in the state of Oklahoma. Could someone please help me find a way to mount and light the plate.

Thanks

i almost forgot the pics... (i have no idea what tail this is)

Galaxieman is an unknown quantity at this point
Is that screw on the left by the lights screwed into something pretty solid? If so, you can fashion a mount from some simple L-bracket material from Home depot. Screw through one side of the 'L' with that screw, and attach the plate to the other side.

i dont know.. Google it.. they might not make one for a SHawk, so you might have to modify a 954 one..

Loose the freaky undertail... or right angle brackets and mount the plate to the undertail.

I've seen swingarm plate mounts on eBay for the VTR. Never checked if they are just generic or what. Seems a shame to hang the plate off the tail since it cleans up the back of the bike, but you could attach a bracket using the seat lock cylinder. Not sure if those taillights would legally light your plate. Might need a white LED strip for that. If you're going for legal you might have problems with the turn signals as well.
