Non-U.S. Eye Candy
Was perusing some bike sites today and came across these Italian beauties. Doing a little more research, I really like how the engine is manufactured so you can work on the transmission or remove the rods w/o having to split the cases.

Sure sounds like someone used their head when they designed that engine... I have always said that they should make the engineers have to repair the cars, bikes, etc that design - I bet things would be designed to be more "repair friendly" if they did...
I like the looks of the second bike!

I would do it if it wasn't an arm and a leg to do, and if it wasn't a PITA....
I think it looks great...That is another reason I am looking a new bikes...I love the hawk, but I want new technology, and style....

I'm not into the sporting aspect as much, so the 9 1/2's riding position appeals to me more. However, I like the Corsaro 1200's dual headlights a lot more than the big single on the 9 1/2.
Being a small new (reborn) company, I doubt we'll see them in the states anytime soon unless they really make a big slash in Europe. Even then, MM might not want to mess with having to conform to U.S. emissions standards. Haven't seen a price on either yet, so that's another factor. If they can't import them and be competitive price-wise with similar models, they won't bother.

I sat on both bikes back in winter during Brussels Autosalon 2006
Those Morinis rocks. Absolutely what I want. But: I will hesitate to go on my regular 4000 km tour with it because of spare parts and service availability. Morini isn't new company, they have quite a history in "lightweight" motoring but they never made it to Ducati level...Who needs easy access to rods if you have nothing to replace damaged rod with...
Shame they do not have large financial backup to grow business more. Their two-wheelers always been pure delight, but so difficult to buy and service....
