All this talk about RC51's, combined with my own curiosity and awe, has made me keep an eye out for RC51's for sale. Well I ran into a motorcycle buddy at a local bar and he told me that he only uses his 2003 RC51 for running away from cops on the highway at 200+ mph. Now I'm not sure how the F he gets his bike up to 200, but he's made some significant engine upgrades and exhaust combos. The bike has less than 5k on it, and has never been wrecked. He mentioned he wants to sell it because he likes his F4i way more (he says it does 172), and I'm the first person he's told. His asking price: $4500. Too good to be true?

Well if the 200mph and the 172mph on his F4i are any indication then I would say that guy is not exactly on the level.

So yes it probably is to good to be true...

Unless the guy is just an idiot!!!!

Its easy to get an RC up to 200 mph. All you have to do is exaggerate. A lot.

$4500 is a good price for a well used stock 2000. 2003 with mods are in the $7-8k range. Yes, I've seriously looked too but I don't think I could make an RC into the long distance mount I have now (6-700 mile days).

He truly may have been drunk when you talked to him. Bring a twelve pack and your checkbook when you go to see the worlds fastest rc51. 8)

200 in an RC, huh? Is it Canadian-spec?

Might want to check if the cops have his plates marked. You wouldn't want to be pulled over because they think it's your friend riding.

Sure .. where at in McKinney (it's a rather large area to just ride around looking for Hawks)

And by the way.. The guy actually did use the term "worlds fastest RC51" when describing his bike!

Sure.. I Emailed one of you earlier today with my cell number. just gimme a ring next time you ride. I had to settle for riding around with a pack of Harleys. For some reason they couldn't pull wheelies like I was. By the way... does it still count as a motorcyclist's wave if they flick you off?

Glad to help. Man was that axle nut tight or what???
Forgot to tell you something....
When I was behind you I noticed how great the two S'hawks sounded when we matched RPMs on acceleration.
Can you imagine how good it will sound when we get all four of us together?
How can we record it???
It's music to my ears!
God I love V Twins

Those harley boyz are just jealous.
They spent alot more money on their bikes than we did but don't have nearly as much fun we do

Plus our bikes don't leak oil :P

I had this scooter once, 60cc, she put out like 190hp....til I added a few mods, then stand back bitch.....shew....man....

But seriously, I think your wrong Loco, I think it was a VVRH 600CBC with 281hp @17000rpms....and if I am not mistaken the years was 1977.not 1988...good try ole chap....you can't put anything past this group.....
