Hello
Hi everyone,
I happened upon this site and I am so excited about it. I have been in LOVE with the Superhawk since I first saw it in person at the motorcycle show in 1998. I bought a 1998 model first and now I own a 2002 model (both red). I am looking foward to talking with other people as crazy about this bike as I am!! I did finally meet someone who might like their Superhawk more than me at the Moto GP race this summer. He said his bike was featured in Cycle World due to all of the Mod's.

Re: Hello
Welcome. Folks here may not post as frequently as on some other forums I frequent, but the posts tend to be higher quality and, obviously, focused mostly on the 'Hawk/'Blade.
How's the weather up there in Minnesota?

Hey Nikki,
I too bought an original '98 back in july of '97 and have recently returned back to the fold with another 98 (aka superbling).
We have a couple of ladies on the forum. That reminds me. There was a young lady in Austin who wanted to trade in/sale her rebel for a VTR so bad she could taste it. I wonder if the stars ever aligned for her? I think that was last summer.
Welcome.

Welcome to the forum, nice to have a female perspective every once in a while. It gets old talking to the same guys with over active testosterone glands! If you've got any questions or comments we're quick to give advice,(sometimes too quick), You just have to weed through some of the sarcasim first to get a good answer.

I only have an aftermarket seat, Corbin, and handlebars. Dont make fun of me just yet (handlebars), it was for a 5700 mile trip I took this summer.
I only have one Superhawk. The first one was a 1998 and I had the cam chain tensioner lifter problem that some people have.

The extenders are black anodized aluminum, very sturdy. A local guy here just had a few made up. I can see if he has any more.
Also, on the question of weather. It was 28 degrees this morning, unseasonably warm. I do not ride in this weather. It has be at least 40 and snow free.
