On March 9 at 12:41 pm my son was born in an emergency c-section. I had been up for 48 (or something) hours.
I have to say it is an indescribable experience. God has created life again and I feel immensly blessed.
This is him 1 day old. He already has that racer tuck down, which will come in handy soon.

Congrats brother! Good lookin' boy you got there. Looks like he's holding imaginary handlebars already in the first pic! Did you get to watch? Pretty amazing stuff. I got to watch a few C-sections in paramedic school and they would let the fathers watch if they wanted to.

Wow - Too cute
God Bless!
C - Section, 3 of my 4 kids were born that way in NYC. Seems the NYC metro area loves C Sections, I think its easier on the doctors, quicker & less lawsuits.
All the best!
BTW - My son started on a Fifty and my girls ride it too.

Congratulations!!! You could refer to him as "Little Hawk",Joe. With four grown youngins (the youngest is 28 now) you are in for as has already been mentioned a education in the joys, frustrations, worries, and well deserved gray hair that our own parents experienced(I know from my own experience, what hair is not turning gray is just turning loose). BUT the joys overshadow all the rest. Very best regards and may your Hawk tribe increase.

I tried to be real cool when wifey and I got pregnant. It was well intended and but when we went in for the ultrasound I was all good with healthy baby - a daughter is fine - I don't care. Just as long as the child is solid I'm all good.
The doc greases up her belly and starts looking in there - all of a sudden he's saying look, look there it is - you're having a son. I was pumping my fists.
Congrats, now the ride of your life begins.

My heart hurts from bursting every time I see him. Still cant comprehend.
Here are my two recent favorite related songs
Oh and yes my first child. Never thought I'd see the day. Been married 10yrs blissfully before this happened.

Some advice from a veteran (married over 20 yrs w/ 4 kids)
1. Ur lady is now fertile territory - if U think about having sex, she'll get preggo again - maybe not a bad thing, as having just one isn't good for the kid & too much of an age gap also isn't good. Figure it this way, if ur changing one diaper, whats another? But a 2 to 3 year gap is good. (my two oldest are 15 months apart). Thus, if U don't want Irish Twins, get a GF or there are other inputs
2. When they're small they have small problems, when they're big....My brother is 51 and still causing problems for mom. LMAO
3. Don't lose track of ur relationship w/ ur lady. Hopefully, U have family nearby to help out when needed. It takes a village...
Just enjoy the kid, sports activities, dirt biking, school - man U have a great future
But the most important thing is he's healthy!
All the best!
