250's have been made for a while now, just not imported to US. 1988-1990 had a US model, 1997 and up did not. As you can see the 1st gen was, well ugly. When looking for my wife's first bike, we stumbled on the little vtr. Would have gotten one if American Honda offered it.

I sort of like the early 250 Interceptor. It had some pretty strange paint schemes going on, but it stood out of the pack.

The old 250 was part of a pack of cool, small bikes – CB1, Bandit 400, SRX, GB500, etc… -- that flopped here because we’re a country of big-dick cowboy wannabes.

I’d probably consider buying one of these VTRs if it came to the states. I saw a video a few years back of someone riding one of these on a test track and doing the tightest circles I’ve ever seen. It was pretty incredible.

Would be nice they made a modern liter-size version (with slightly massaged VTR engine making about 125 hp).....

Mine are more mid 80's, 2- Eighty4 Vf1000fs.

To each their own, eh?

New SH does look pretty though.

Push that bike up to about 600cc and I would be all over it.

Throw some cash on top and she could be on a nice SH this weekend!

The Interceptor 500 was nice in red/whit/blue. I had a deposit on one but my Dad freaked! I was only 17 and didn't even have a driver's license yet. My first bike was a CM400A (A for automatic) then I got a EX500 followed by a Ninja 600. 64 XLCH and 88 Custom XHL after that. I think the EX is still one of my favs.... parking lot ballerina that could still move 2up. Wish someone would do a 750 of that bike.

I actually got smoked at a stop light when I first started riding by a 250 interceptor and I was on a gsx600f it was perplexing to me at the time. because it was so old and look unfamiliar.
