VTR 1000 Project

Hi @ all

At first I would like to tell you something about me. My Name is Martin, I´m 32 years old and I come from Germany. I´m living near Goslar (Harz) and my hobbies are motorbike riding and customizing!

The last modifications:

- R1 fork and brakes with original frontwheel and brakedisks
- Engine powered by Christian Mende with 135 horsepower
- 2-1 60 mm underseat exhaust system handmade on my own with Arrow Pipe
- single sided swingarm from VFR 800
- SP-1 rearend
- CBR 1000 RR Numberplate

Here are some pics

best regards

Martin

Beautiful. How many hours do you have in it? How'd the R1 front end fit? Have any shots of the exhaust system?

Hi

round about 300 hours. For the fork you can take CBR 900 RR SC44 bridges? (in German Gabelbrücke) an you have to make own distances for the original wheel!

I have only two pics of the exhaust system! Here they are.

I'd heard the Germans did some wild modifications! Glad to see a Firestorm get the treatment.

Hi @ all

Thanks!

You can take the fork from the year 1998-2002. But you must make an axle on your own, because the original R1 axle is 22 mm and the firestorm have 20 mm!

The brakes are very, very nice. Not the same as before!

Tomorrow I will make some more pics.

Bye

Martin

Hi @ all

Thanks. Nice to see that somebody of you´re loving my bike, too.

Enginemodifications:

-torque camshafts
-the housing of the engine was worked on for higher compression and was drilled out and it gets new pistons
-the cylinderheads and the valves were worked on for a better flow
-an alleviated generator
-carburator with 190/192 nozzles and additional holes at the sliders
-TOMS airfilter ( a original filterframe with a no-toil filtermats )
-an 2-1 exhaust system with a diameter of 60 millimeters!

The belly-pan I´d baught at Thurn Motorsport and it costed round about 250 € !

Bye

Martin

If you need stuff translated from German to English let me know.
