Smile New Superhawk Owner

I had been reading the list for a month or so and bought a 2002 Superhawk last weekend. I'm an old guy 50+ who's been riding since I was 18. I had about 40 bikes and I always loved twins. I picked the Superhawk because I thought it would be a cross between two of my favorite bikes: my '89 GSXR1100 & FJ1200(I've had two). The looks and feel of the GSXR and the torque of the FJ. I have been riding bicycles more than motorcycles the last 10 years and I am getting back into what I use to love.

I'll keep using the search feature but I'm bound to have a few questions.

There are a number of us old farts on here. I've been riding since 1964, but didn't own a bike until 1981, when I was 35. With the VTR it's all about the torque.

Welcome. I got my Superhawk this spring and just love it. I'm only 49. Been ridding for 40+ years and find this bike easy to ride and tons of fun!

"old guy"? "old fart"? I'm sure you and VTRsurfer mean mature, experienced, smooth and effortlessly quick. Welcome to life with a VTR and welcome to the forum.

Welcome Hawkagain from another 50+ member. Bought my 01 Hawk new in 02 & have not regretted yet. My bike prior to that was a 87 FJ1200 that I had for 10yrs. Really liked that one too.
