Hello everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. Thanks so much for having this forum. I am a new member and a new owner of a 2003 Superhawk. I purchased mine from Washington state and had it shipped to Wisconsin where I live. She has 8100 miles on the clock.
The bike is gorgeous and rides very well. I am the third owner and the two previous owners were both mechanics. Got lucky there. The bike has multiple aftermarket bits, smoked double bubble windshield, Corbin seat, Two Brothers exhaust and, extra lower aftermarket fairing.

My only issue was the shipping company damaged the exhaust and the swingarm. It was a major task to get them to pay for the damage. They fought tooth and nail and I finally had to go through my insurance company American Family who were excellent in straightening out this problem. Interestingly after I wrote with help from a friend a strongly worded letter to the shipping company they reversed their decision. Because of a long delay in their Responce I had already begun to work with my insurance company. I sent their reversal letter directly to AmFam. AmFam paid me out fully (they didn’t keep my deductible) and went after the shipper directly. AmFam did a great job.
I had never shipped a motorcycle cross country before but now I know it is of the upmost importance to do as much research as you can. Find someone who is reputable and pay whatever they want... within reason.
I have many more recommendations if anyone is interested.
