Yep, he came out to my ship (USS Constitution) last fall when he made chief. We probably walked right by each other and never new.

Eh, correction there, shippy. I came out to support the Selectees. I picked up 7 in '04. No big deal. I wasn't very clear when I originally wrote it.

Sorry Chief. Funny side note. We have a BM1 onboard whose last name is Shippee. Anyway, back on topic.

OH Hell, can't avoid it now. I'm a Bubblehead. Reenlisted on the Constitution last Oct. I made E-6 in '04, no hopes of E-7 right now, medical reasons.

What is it! Is this a squid forum?

Am I the only Coastie here?

That being said, the navy now has a rate of (ND) navy diver: If they would have had that before I would be a squid too.

Nope, a RM or Comms ET as they want to call us now.

You teaching Nuke school?

Nothing wrong with Coasties, I'm right across the river from the academy.

Yes I am, though I'm running things on the maintenance side of the house right now. No student interaction at the moment...thank God.

I hear ya. I was at SubScol, but not an instructor. Now I'm at NSSF at 67H doing masts and antennas.

Are you gonna take a boat outta here for your next tour, or elsewhere?

Erik. I to am an IT but on the networking side. Actually, right now I'm a tour guide/ spec events coord. Not much networking on a 210 year old ship and I can feel myself forgetting my rate. Time to order a Northstar and start studying for Chief.

Not an IT, but a Sub ET. 2 types of those, Nav types and Comms. Should have my sparks but you ITs stole them.

Reenlisting on your ship was cool. Some of the other guides took us into some of the "restricted" areas, since we were in uniform. Couple of ya'll were working on one of the cannons. Very cool experience.

Yep, there is another sailor on here also. One of the young sailors on the Constitution just bought a 2002 SuperHawk. He may be chimming in here sometime. I know he's a member of this forum.
