New guy here....
Hey!!
I just joined the forum and I'm looking for a 2003+ Superhawk. I'm and old guy that can't let go of sportbikes. Just a brief past, I've owned an 86 VFR 700, 2000 VFR 800, 2003 VFR 800, 2002 Shadow Saber (no cruisers for me anymore!!) 1983 Suzuki GS750ES, 1978 GS750E. I have crashed with the 83 GS750, layed it down doing 120+ on the highway. I also have restored a 74 Porsche 911 and 1969 Camaro SS396. I love spinning a wrench. I've always been a Honda fan with numerous ATV's all 2 stroke 250R's, 3 and 4 wheelers. My last bikes where the 2003 VFR and a KTM 300 EXC. I look forward to the knowledge you guys have and thank you in advance....

Welcome...
Why 2003+? The few small differences there are in specs occured at 2001, and they are insignificant... And I kind of doubt a couple of years on the bike makes a difference in insurance and ownership costs... Find a good maintained one of whatever year, and you'll be happy...

Suggest not limitting yourself to an arbitrary date. There are plenty of older low mileage examples available. They were virtually unchanged throughout the model run with the exception of cluster change and other minor tweeks in '01.
Also low mileage (<10k) is not necessarily a primary factor. While it is hard to argue against the attraction of a low mileage bike, a clean well taken care of bike with higher mileage should not be turned up.
Good luck and welcome to the forum

Welcome - if the NH is for New Hampshire there was a listing a while back for a 2003 with low miles. The place was a dealer in Pembroke, New Hampshire.

That bike was sold Archer. I have a blue 2003, but what these other guys are saying is true, the differences are negligible. Also, you might find a slightly higher mileage example with some great mods (see seat, suspension, brakes) that would cost you alot more to buy the mods for. When you get your bike, join myself and Mad Mike in southern NH for a ride.

Welcome, There are a few of us old farts here already. The VTR is a keeper for me. My last bike was a BMW R100RS that I had for 15 years before buying my SuperHawk new in '05.
And I had a 1959 Porsche 356A Coupe for 9 years until my ex-wife got it in the divorce 25 years ago. Oh, and I also know about the air box thing on the older 911s...ouch.
