New exhaust

Has anyone seen the danmoto exhaust on eBay. Just wondering if anyone
has tried it and if was any good or bad. I have never heard of it and was a
little weary. Thanks.

China manufacture apparently.
http://www.google.com/search?q=danmo...archBox&ie=&oe=
Quick look through posts that came up in a search .. mostly good to great things to say.

The Dan Moto Exhausts web site http://www.dan-moto.com/honda-wholes...creg62gq4rkoa6

Has a lot of product...so not total fly by night.

The VTR exhaust is definitely basic piece together design

From ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Carbo...Q5fAccessories
$322 plus $88 shipping

So $400 for an off brand china copy with no aftermarket service or parts available, no idea on the materials used inside the can... I'll pass.

Buying it direct from the Dan Moto web site..
It's $282, plus $76 shipping $358 total.. Thats a little closer to worth an experiment.

You get what you pay for. China is not known for manufacturing anything of quality.

$282 +shipping is not bad... And the more people that buy Dan Moto exhausts, the sooner they can invest in some form of tube bending technology!

While not designed in China, they do manufacture Apple computers.

My previous statement still holds true.

Recommend Yoshimura, got a full system on my VTR, slip-ons on my gen 1 'busa and a carbon fiber full system on my gen 2 'busa. Recognized name, excellent quality. The power of branding.

Auto glass that was manufactured there used to be total crap. That's changed now. If you have a windshield replaced, chances are very good that it will come from China and it will fit. They're getting better all the time. Japan used to be known as manufacturing junk. The "Made In Japan" got you laughed out of town in the late 50s to mid 60s. That had changed over about ten years and by the early 70s you were starting to see quality cars, electronics, and optics coming from Japan. My guess is it will not be long before most of what China manufactures will be high quality. Just because it says made in China, I don't automatically dismiss the product as junk anymore. Case in point... Lenovo computers. Top notch stuff now. They are very good and getting better at copying.
