Need Suggestions on Roads

Hey everyone. I'm makin a long *** trip from Burlington, Vermont all the way down to school in Philly. I'd love to hear of any roads that y'all reccomend that don't stray too far so I can avoid unwanted highway travel. Basically the route travels through Vermont which is all nice country roads. Then I'm on 87 from Fort Ann all the way to the Jerzy Pike and then the PA Pike.
The other route that I sometimes take is 87, 88, 81, 476.

So for those who prefer a more visual representation I'm looking for roads between Ticonderoga, NY and Philly, off of 87 and thru the Catskills.

Also for anyone who's interested I bought a NEP Throttle Lock for the tirp along with a Crampbuster thingy and I'll deliver a full review upon my return. Already I'm not really liking the ergonomics of the NEP but we'll see.

I have a Crampbuster but my hand still falls asleep if I'm not careful. It's still better than nothing, especially for the price.

Dude, I'd love to give you some good routes but I've only been up here 5 months and all I know is local stuff. I'm sure mapquest could help you out. Just stay on NY roads that have a number and the road condition should be okay.

Okay, here's what 5 minutes of mapquest found me.....

How about 87 to 23A West in Catskill to 42S to 28W to 30W to 17N/W to 92S. Follow 92S all the way to Pittston where you pick up 81S.
