Help, I can't see behind me! I need mirror suggestions!

I recently bought a '02 SuperHawk and all I can see behind me are my shoulders. I have seen the Genmar 1" extenders and I am not crazy about the way they look. Are there mirrors that can be bought that bolt right in like an OEM part, but are wider than the factory mirrors? Thanks.

You can graft Yamaha 1st generation FZ1 stalks and mirrors to the VTR mounts and subbers, and other long stem units. Go with bar ends but you loose the OE bar weights and have to put plates over the fairing holes. Or find someone to sell you there Don Herve Ltd Ed extenders.

Do a forum search, but what people have done is installed FZ1 mirrors and I believe I remember some doing R6 mirrors as well.

Genmar makes mirror spacers that push them out a little farther - I have them on mine and they do help a lot.

I have had the GenMar extenders on my Hawk for about a year. When I first put them on it did have a little buggy look to it but I don't even notice it now. The view behind is greatly improved.

As far as I am concerned- this is all part & parcel to owning a sportbike. If you want unobstructed mirrors, buy a cruiser. lol

R. Barna's mirror extenders on fleabay

not perfect in terms of the match of curve to the fairing, but being delrin you can file/sand/dremel or use the provided washer to help flush them. aesthetics aside, they work, are reasonable in cost and good quality. plus he's a SHOG member! here's the prev. thread w/ some pics:

Plus one on the above tip. I have'm. They're not perfect but rear view is at least usable. W/o them there WAS no rear view.
