FYI, gentlemen... I spoke with my local shop, they have spoken with Parts Unlimited.. and this is for real. I wanted to check it out before I called it credible, as there is alot of disinformation on the WWW...

Yeah, it's for real. Killer posted this up the other night - first I heard of it. I have my new PP front mounted but the rear is still at the shop. I haven't looked at the location yet. I'm beginning to think this motorcycle feels neglected if it's not tore apart somehow!

Yes, Mike, sorry! I have checked mine which came through the PartsUnlimited network. The rain in Spain rains mostly on the Michelin factory in France

You're right but I thought it was very heads up and considerate to bring it. This could be a serious issue.

As soon as you hear **** like this about critical components - one would do otherwise?

Bravo on ya, brother!

it should be taken into consideration that the 2 reported cases invovled stunt riders who were running their front tires at very low inflation levels. and these 2 cases are all that michelin was responding to. we may not really have a problem after all. anyway, I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. I'll take care of it in a couple months when the michelin guys actually have the supply of replacement tires in stock.
