Honda Superhawk Factory Bags

I have read a few posts about bags and read online that in the EU the vtr1000 had a factory bag option. Is this correct? If so does anyone know where to get them? The options also listed heated grips.

Otherwise going to look for some nelson riggs or humbacks.

Thanks.

Never heard of it. Corbin used to make some hard bags for it but they have love it-hate it looks.

Yea have't been able to find much info on them. I'm coming off a 1000rr and was hoping to use a SH as a sport tourer.

you can get hard bags from dennis kirk, i know i've seen them in the print catalog. personally i would only use them for long trips, day to day riding, they would just look stupid.

Looks like this...

That's taken directly from Honda Swedens site... I think you can do better for less...

The heated grips might be nice thoo... for 2295 SEK ie 385 USD you get this...

High Mileage with Gear

Hot Grips are available just like the Honda items made in the GO USA and merry Ole England.

Saddle bags that strap over the saddle keep the weight low but can foul with cans (and feet if you have a buddy along) and add bokoo wing drag.

A better solution with a tank bag is the Ventura bolt on system, which I have of course modified to suit my taste for also popping on a little hard trunk for "around town".

Around town around here is 100 miles long with Michigan on your right heading north to the border with lower Cheeseheadland, which really is joined at the hip with Chicagoland and parts southeast (Hoosiers that think they are different than other Hoosiers and smarter than Chicagoans). Around town extends west in a 75 miles arc with Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park its axis. Farther if you go to Iowa. So around town is over at least 1900 square miles. No other city in America is layed like this on such a scale. Not NYC or LA.

Similar maybe to the NYC-NNJ-LII megatropolis, it’s easy to loop through civilization between patches of country becoming Californicated. Truly "High mileage" indeed.

On the open road, leaving your town behind, on an unfamiliar route with everything you need to live off the land is radically different than bunking in a hotel.

Bottom line matey, you choose or have gear for them all...
