I a kinda digging these too, there are too many choices! I want something the hugs up high and somewha close together, mainly just enough room for the plate. And I also have to keep my passenger pegs.

How does the silencer insertwork on the Leo exhaust? Does it give it more back pressure like the stock exhaust? Just curious, I think this may be the choice, just cant find them in carbon anymore!

I never had the baffles so I couldn't tell you. I do know that the bike pulls strong as hell, so I don't think low back pressure is an issue with this exhaust.

I've never heard new leos or ones with the baffles, but mine are pretty damn loud (in a good way). It could be that they're broken in good.

Well reason I ask is I get considerable better gas mileage with the stock pipes, so if I could get some high mounts and have an insert that gains me mileage, but can take it out and get that great sound, that would just be sick! So thats the point I was getting at, I really like how high those tuck

RE: superchicken99 - custom exhaust

Any chance you can post a sound clip on those custom short pipes? They can't be that loud!

If your asking me, I got both of them with the bike. The titanium exhaust is not being produced anymore as far as I know. neither is the carbon fiber. You can probably still find it somewhere on the web though. The lower is a sharkskinz race, and I've seen some used ones being sold on here. I think blackhawk996 is selling his?

never any tickets but i have been pulled over for them being loud. they are the aluminum leos but i cut them and polished them. also used tl1000r passenger rear sets cause they are smaller. and by cutting them down it eliminated the exhaust brackets

I've always been partial to the devil carbon fiber and the staintune. I have the devils on mine and they sound real nice. I haven't seen the staintune in person, but I really like the way they look in pics.

This is the one I just sold:
