High-mount picture

I just took this picture of my Jardine RT-One high-mount for you. I love the sound of this can and the mid-pipes are (were) nice and shiny. Due to my riding style, the soles of my shoes melt onto the midpipe. The guys here at work are fabricating some aluminum heat shields for me. I don't know much about the other high-mount brands, but I've heard that not all of them let you retain the rear footpegs. These mounts are nice and sturdy. BTW, I bought these midpipes and cans on ebay for $305 delivered. Installation took about 20 minutes. They have some small wear on them, but it beats buying new.

+1 on the Jardines. Picked up mine on fleabay about 6 months ago new for $450.00 or so. Keep an eye out there are deals to be had.

Leo Vince. Stole mine new on Ebay for $390 SHIPPED. Just took the "quiet end" inserts out of the end of the cans yesterday....sounds incredible now...2" straight pipe, no obstructions. Highly recommend....fit and finish is great and they mount VERY high.

Here's my Two Brothers. Love the sound they make, nice throaty rumble. And yes, heat shields are a definite; you might notice them on the midpipe.

On a downside, I don't believe 2Bros makes the high mounts for this bike any longer

Bike's apart now but here's an old shot of my carbon Leos. And the chrome on those Jardines is easy to clean, just let the pipe heat up and wad up a towel (so you don't burn yourself) and use some mothers. Easy Off oven cleaner also is supposed to work well-let it sit on there overnight. The stainless is even easier because you can always repolish it w/o fear of scratching it like the chrome.

Anyway, I love them. They're really nice, sound great, and are kinda rare too. I also cut out the stock undertail a little and bent in the hangers and pulled them in a bit closer together. As for the others I've had Jardines (the black powdercoat) before and also currently on my project bike. For the money they're nice. I've had all of these and a few more at one time or another and I like the fatter midpipes (and I like stainless better too since it can be repolished) that comes with Leo's, TBR's, and especially Devils, which are like sewer pipes. Again I like the Jardines and I know they're popular and for the price they can't be beat. I do think the other's are a little higher quality though and sound a little deeper. Once you've had any of the other the mids on the Jardines look a little skinny too. Again that's the black powdercoats. Those carbon Jardines look like another story, they look beautiful. In the end they'll all sound great and it's going to boil down to what YOU like, you really can't go wrong.

Man I love them. I really like the look Jardine C. Fiber. Here is a pic of the bike I am hoping to pick up this weekend with its Vance & Hines S4 Stainless pipes, they look nice, but I think I will sell them for high mount pipes, they are just something I like!

Totally off subject

Sorry Guys, I am going way off subject here but here is where I need to place this.

Look at haknslash's pics. Look at his front tire. Do you see the tread how it slopes up towards the middle. Is that not pushing the water into the middle of the tire causing a hydro-plane scenario? I ask because that how my tire is mounted and I was wondering about this. Just a quick post advising a pm is sent on this subject will be fine.

Again I apologize for the hijacking.

That is how the Pilot Powers are. The tread pattern is different on front and rear as they are going in opposite directions from each other. I tho9ught the same as you when I first got my bike but its how these are supposed to be.

^^^ yup

superbling, I like that exhaust. I'm not a fan of the new 2 bros stuff. Some of their new stuff looks like something that belongs on a ricer out Honda Civic . No offense to anyone here. I'm more so talking about their shotgun/GP exhausts they make now for GSXRs etc.

mig cans

Hello all. This is my first post to superhawkforum. Thought I'd share a pic I have of my MiG high mounts. Love the MiG's because they let you keep the passenger pegs.

Pic is several years old. I live in Germany now... You haven't ridden a hawk untill you've been on the autobahn and through the Black Forrest... Amazing.

Enjoy, and thanks for having me.

I think this thread has made me want to pull my rear pegs . After seeing everyones high mounts w/o the pegs, it really cleans up that area of the bike and lets the exhaust look cleaner as well. i do like the fact my Devil ppes still retain the pegs but to be honest I don't ride 2up as my wife HATES bikes and I also just never felt comfortable with someone on the back.

Hi pipes

I got Jardine Carbon RT1s .......I have been a fabricator most of my life and personally I thought the fit and quality are first rate and worth every penny......To me the sound is perfect and I dont think overly harsh or loud.......By the way they are out of stock on the aluminum sets and only have Carbon sets in stock... No new alum till end of Oct...I rejetted with Dyno and a K&N......crisp and free revving now...they have a nice bark at the twitch of the throttle.....I am very pleased........I personally took of the rear pegs and modified the ***.....removed the stock turns and trimmed the fender to a minimum to hold the plate......They look very very good to me......and now she has a nice *** too! LOL
