FINALLY got the bike registered. The title came in the mail day before yesterday, which I happened to have off so I bopped down to the DMV and took care of that. After waiting for the paperwork for the NY mandated anti-theft inspection, then waiting for the inspection date, then waiting for the title after the inspection it's been awhile. I've been a bad boy, riding an unregistered (but it IS insured!) bike all winter.Last time I buy a bike from you! *ahem* Unless you sell the Ducati.

Glad to hear it's all working out. Does that anti-theft thing really take that long? Are they backlogged?

 

I don't think they're backlogged, just takes forever snail-mailing everything up to Albany and back twice. Once before and once after the inspection. And, of course, there's no way to expedite the process and I'm sure none of the government wage-slaves are in a hurry to get paperwork finished.
