I'm going to miss the v-twin powerband but I think my next bike is going to be a new one liter four. I got hooked when my buddy let me ride and race his 06 1000RR.

Are you guys going to stick with the VTR forever or have different plans?

My next bike is going to be a 1098. I rode my buddies 999 and I was impressed by the suspension and the brakes. My SH felt like it made more power/torque than his, even he admitted that. I also liked the FI and how responsive the throttle was. I expected it to be less comfy than it was. Overall, it stops on a dime and it rails thru the corners.

I think that i ll keep mine and convert it into turbo if that can be done and as a second choise i would like to buy a CBR 1000 RR '05 with the Repsol Decals and with a format into the E.C.U and inserting a racing programme can gain up to 200 HP. I have seen it in action here in Greece and believe me i ****** my pants on!!!! On wheelie the rear tyre was spinning crazy!!! Of cource if i had MONEY i would like to buy an MV AGUSTA!!!

a commute worthy motard will be my next bike. I've been patiently waiting for the Japanese makers to come out with an FI version of their 450's in SM dress. But I'm getting eager and the 2007 Husqvarna and Arpilia lineups have been calling me. It's a a good thing the SHawk has so much character to keep me sane.

i'm still clinging to the 2008-09 dream of a 1200 VTR, I keep my eye on the rumour mills, and there is still hope. If I could Afford a 1098 I would be all over that.. but I think I might add a 748 and keep the VTR.

Wouldn't you want bigger than a 450 for commuting? If for any highway riding.

I'm a fan of adding bikes so I might someday have a collection. I bought a 1800 Goldwing a few years ago, then the SH. Once that's paid off, I'm allowed to go shopping...My theory is to get bikes of different types, something for every mood. Here's what I'm looking at next-

Buell XB (prob. city cross or super TT)
Triumph Bonneville
Harley Nightster (the new model with bobbed fender and side mount tag)

I know it's a strange group. The only thing they have in common is there is (for me) a lust factor with all 3. I love riding the Buell, just makes me laugh in my helmet, but the Bonnie is the best looking bike made in my opinion. And the harley??? Why not. Never owned one.

Anyway, I have prob. 2 years left, so who knows what'll be out by then. Actually the new Concours 14 looks pretty good...

Back in 04 I would have been dead set on a ZX-10R but in 06 they really screwed it up. I guess too many people where wrecking them so they had to be toned down. Today I don't even know whats what. I mean they are all good but whats the best?

I like my Hawk, heck both of them, 84 Nighthawk and 2000 Superhawk. My next bike if I could afford it would would be either the Ducati 1098 or Aprilia RSV1000. I love both of those bikes.

I think my next bike will be a Multistrada 1100 S. I'll keep the hawk though. I'd love to pick up a ST1300 someday too

Up until a few weeks ago I would have said vtwin also, but after riding a new gsxr, an inline 4 with excess power would be as good. I think a hayabusa or ZX14 would do fine for all around use, sport touring, high speed fun, especially if I could still keep the SH

I'm keeping my hawk for life, but I must say another caught my eye at the Kawi dealership looking for a helmet for my older kid (and double as 2nd for me so I can stop swapping shields for night riding).
Anyway I'm looking at the helmets and he says WOW...check this one out!
I knew it was a ninja....what else is a 14 year old gonna be looking at? In a dealership anyway?
When I saw this ZX10...black w/ pinstripe flame graphics in red w/ red wheels....my freakin jaw literally dropped. That's a freakin' mean looking s.o.b.
I don't need that kind of speed anymore, but damn.....nice looking bike IMHO.

If Honda came out with a new SH with non-detuned RC-51 engine, that might just be my next bike.

Yes, ideally, but currently that means 40 lbs more of bike weight. Maybe something new will come along and bridge the gap. And I do also realize I fill up every day But it will take longer for me to get my ATM card out of my wallet than it does to fill the tank.
