Have an Ohlins? I need a small favor...

Could someone please snap a quick pic of the remote preload bracket next to a ruler? I'm about to buy a small piece of carbon to make myself one. When I bought the O, it didn't come with a mount, so I just used what I had laying around.

Just lookin' for the original design, not your custom one off. TIA!!

And how thin of a piece would you guess I could use? 5/32 is their thickest at the present time.

Hope these are what you need Sorry for the crappy quality it's dark in the garage and I was in a rush. That one is 3/16" thick (aluminum), but I don't see why 1/8" wouldn't be more than enough-my LeoVince exhaust brackets are only 1/8" thick (yes they're the originals) and they're more than enough to support the exhaust and this weighs next to nothing. Again I'm talking aluminum...you did say carbon fiber... 5/32" is right in-between those 2 thicknesses and I'm sure will be fine in carbon fiber to support this, again it's really light.

I've never worked carbon. Any advice on drilling holes in it or cutting curves?

Stabdard drill bits are fine. If you're shaping it with a dremel or a flap disc wheel there will be lots of dust, so wear a mask in that instance.

Unibits are your friend with CF and fiberglass. Harbor frieght has some for very cheap ($12) for a set of three. They won't split or crack the piece like standard bits can do when they pop through.
And like James said, make sure you wear a mask! You don't want those fibers inside you.

You bet, glad I could help. I can also trace it and fax it if you like (or you could just trace the screen too if you can get the size right).
