grinnin' wide
well guys, just went for my 1st ride on the hawk that wasnt in my yard, actually made it dwn the road, loved it! cant get the smile off my face, I'm hoping that I get 1 or 2 more days this week to get out and feel the rush, it was a lil cold but not bad enough to keep me home, just had to tell you guys, I am pretty sure I'm hooked on this bike

It gets better.
I'll never forget the first time I opened it up, through the gears on a long section of straight road. The voice in the back of my head was saying "Holy heart palpitations, that's a lot of motorcycle."
But the real joy comes in the twisties...
Roll it on - smoothly, don't just grab a big handfull all at once - coming out of the corners and feel that enthusiastic beast begging you for more.
Welcome to the addiction.

Yeah, I had to rebuild mine before riding it. Up and down the driveway to evaluate the condition a few times, then one day couldn't take it any more. Went up to my sons house in the middle of nowhere and spent the early evening shining the headlight up into the trees. No bodywork, plate or gauges, head and taillight zip tied on and a chunk of plywood stuck in place of my bent right front rotor. Gooooooood times!

Every time I ride I grin like its the first time again. Once you get yourself a nice clean twisty section of road to play on you wont be able to help yourself to open her up and enjoy the ride.

I cant wait til I find my favorite stretch of road to play on, there are a few around here that i've liked in my cars & trucks, the road to eureka springs(hwy62N) offers a nice set of curves along with the pig trail(hwy27s) south of me, among others here in the ozarks that I have yet to discover

have fun brother,i remember my 1st ride.
i picked it up after work and as i was going down the road,i wondered why everyone was staring and driving as they were.
i stopped at a gas station to fill up and heard there was a tornado sighted in the area.
i think it was just me.

Who doesn't do that on occasion?! You have to be pretty damned nuts not to...
I can spend a whole afternoon going "Weee", "Wooohooo", "Yahooo" and all other combinations... It never ever gets old... I had one passenger request I turn of the intercom as my constant giggling in the corners unnerved her... I cannot imagine why...

Greetings guys, just wanted to say good morning, and to add the fact that I think you guys are funny as hell! Every morning when I get home from work I get on here to see whats new in the superhawk world. Anywho, keep coming back, it works if you work it

70 ft/lbs of torque is your friend. I think it's more suited to real-world riding conditions than higher horsepower numbers. And remember this isn't a fat-*** 700lb cruiser! I like to scare my son if I find him in my garage when I get home from work - feather clutch - blip throttle - make noise - It'll leave a black streak all the way up the driveway!

I think everyone remembers the first time on a HAWK, be it their's or someone else's. It's definitely a great feeling and the twisties get better with time. I would rather ride twisties any day than straight roads (boring)! I don't ride as hard as some on this site, but I enjoy the bike every time I'm on it. Once you get the feel for your particular bike, then you can start progressing your skill. Oh...and welcome to your new world!

Well guys i have to admit, after all the yrs on dirt bikes and cruisers, It sure is a different world on my bird, actuallu took her dwn some back roads not goin more than 50mph at any given time, every corner I had to remind myself to turn with my knees not my hands, was a lil nerve racking. Im sure ill get used to it though
