Future Cult Classic?
Not that it matters, but I was just wondering what everyone thinks about our Hawks. The GT obviously became somewhat of a cult classic, so do you think the SH will have the same following later in life?
I admit that I had looked at the SH for quite a while, but didn't feel moved to buy until I heard that Honda was dropping it. A week or so later, I had a new Hawk in the garage. I guess it was a "now or never" type thing. Of course, Honda really didn't do the bike any favors, since all the other bikes I was considering I could go to the dealership and look at, go to Daytona and take demo rides, and even have my choice of colors without changing years...
Anyway, I'm curious how many of you think we have a possible future cult classic on our hands.

Classic SH
I think Honda would have done well to put higher bars and a taller windscreen on our SHawk. This motor is much more suited to SportStandard/Touring duty than an FZ1 or Bandit. The twin motor will always be coveted by those in the know for its broad delivery of manageable power. My SHawk is already a classic: it's dated but none the less for it.

I think there is definitely the possibility of the hawk's becoming a cult classic. The taller wind screen would have been a plus, but now Zero Gravity is making a taller windscreen. I have installed one on my 98' and love it. I am 6'3" and can pretty much tuck all the way in behind it. I still have the short windscreen for the days that I just feel like tucking in all the time. As far as the v-twin goes, there isn't anything that I have been on that comes close to the all aorund usefullness of the torque. Everywhere I go I get compliments and nobody can believe it is a 98'. In short it is already a classic to me.

If you've seen the Veradero that Honda sells in other markets, it's a great idea, just not the best looking thing I've seen. I suppose it's a matter of taste, but I do love the upright seating, large gas tank, and fairing.
