Forum Problems??

Am I the only one having issues with this forum being down? I know it was out of commission for a while, but even recently it's been a crap shoot whether or not it's working. I'm hoping it's not just me...

I have been out for the last 36 hours. There are definitely problems. I tried to sign in but it would not recog my pw or user id - three times. But it did have me cached when I came in the back way so I'm on. This sign in procedure needs to looked at by the IT guys because it's very strange and I brought this up this week and everybody acted like I was from outer space. In the past when the database reports an error like this it's just a matter of rebooting and everything was normal. I still think we're fighting some left over gremlins from the server crash a month or so ago.

Thanks, 'Drew, but I'm not the guy to thank. I did what I could. I have been on the hardware side of this for years but when it gets to the software side I put my hands in my pockets. They will get to the bottom of it because these are the most sleepless mfers on the planet.

I have the same problem everytime I log on. The workaround for me is to just click on a post and I'm logged in. I agree the logging on process needs to be looked at

It's not just you, I have been having troubles as well.

Just food for thought, but have the owners of the site thought about setting up a donation system in which you can get an "upgraded" membership, which allows you to upload pics, more PM's in your inbox, less advertising, etc etc. Many of the other forums I visit have it, and it's a nice feature. I would gladly put 20 or 30 bucks down a year to help keep a quality site like this running! I know it's not much, but something has to be better than nothing, right?

You think there's too much advertising? This forum is better than some others that have sponsors, banners blazing away...

No, I don't. Sorry if it came across that way. I was just using it as an example.
