first time ever

in 8 years of riding i've never so much as dropped a bike in the garage. well it's all over now! doing about 40mph in the far right lane of a four lane street and a dude in an expedition 25 feet in front of me swerved into my lane and hit his brakes to make a quick right turn.

smashed into his rear, but cut the bars to the left at impact so i was thrown to the centerline instead of through his rear window.long story short, KBC and joe rocket saved the day, $3100 estimate.

no fork or frame damage and getting a set of two brothers highmounts out of the deal. got the check from his insurance yesterday. WHEW!!

nice save

Well, at least you are safe and unhurt. As long as you are ready to ride again. Good to hear that your insurance came thru quickly! Hope to see some pics after everything is back to normal...take some pics of the gear you were wearing too....always good to show how your gear can save your rear!!!

yeah OEM is fairly expensive, I got the check from the guys insurance co. and bought a ton of aftermarket stuff. Ended up getting me a decent paint job, and as long as i kept receipts the Insurance Co. was cool. Good luck getting everything soon, hope to hear that your riding before summer is over.
