Y'all gotta check this out... WWW.ElectricMotorsport.com Pretty cool stuff...I stumbled onto these while looking at an automotive forum to improve gas mileage....

I dont know what good of a commuter bike it would make with only a 50-75 mile range.. That would kind of suck having to wait an hour (or however long) to recharge the battery each time it died out

The future of the electric motorcycle is near. I nearly bought the super motard version 2 yrs back when I read the article from www.gizmag.com/tag/electric+motorcycle/ They take small European bikes (Derbi) and swap out the engines for electric ones. That way the bikes can be registered for the street. And with the motard you can ride the trails in stealth while still being legal on the street. The E1 is new - I haven't seen that one before. Thanks. New battery technology should filter down in 2-3yrs. I should be interesting.
