First Ride Today

I finally got her out of the garage today for the first time this spring. I was so excited I almost pissed myself Here are of a few pics when I got it out of the garage. I love my bike!

Nice bike Geoff, but is it hard not being able to get your feet down at stops?

We have a similar problem but we also have to sit on the gas tank to reach the bars.

We had an argument before the picture was taken. If you look at her boots there is a fair amount of mud on them and I wasn't excited about muddy boots near my bike. You can see who won the argument as usual.

My wife grew up in Canada. She says it's "muck season" now. So lets see a pic of your bike AFTER the ride.

That was after the ride, I cleaned it longer than I rode it!

Just wondering, but how long do you guys have to wait during winter before you can ride. The notion of feet deep snow outside is alien to aussies (this is a hot dry continent) The idea of living where it hits -10C is beyond my comprehension lol

In the middle of winter here, I just put a jumper (sweater to you guys) under the jacket and away I go. I suppose the poms have the same problems as the americans..

I wish it would only hit -10C, during the winter months I've seen -50C. I stopped riding in the first week of November because we had our first snowfall and the roads are still pretty dirty right now. I only got to ride it because I had to pick it up from the shop and get it home. Depending on the weather daily riding should start in mid april. It's supposed to be 13C out today and the the 2 mile road out of me neighborhood wasn't covered in gravel and mud I would be out tearing it up!

Speaking of weather in Australia, do you guys have much worry regarding drought? My former state, California, is stressed about it.

Oh yeah, nice bike Geoff!

We have had about 7 or 8 years of really dry weather. I think people have given up waiting for the drought to break. I heard somewhere that this is supposed to be a 10 year drought, so only a couple more years to go

I could not live where my riding time is put off by the seasons so much. Gald you got to get out on the bike though! I know it was fun. I had to get out on the hawk as well today. Just too nice to pass it up even if I have it listed lol.
