First ride!!
Well I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first, basicallly stepping down from a 954 to some old technology with spindly forks.
I took her for a spin through the local twisties today and was pleasantly surprised. This bike is very easy to ride and has some power too. You can't tell it from the stock exhaust note but I'll get to that later.
Before any upgrades I'm going to have to take care of some maintenance issues. The bike is two years old but only ridden 4k miles so it has spent some time sitting. The chain has some rust and all the fluids need replaced..
I spent some time today cleaning and touching up the bad fender removal (see pic).

I think the power is kind of similar but the superhawk comes with a lot more sound and vibration. The 954 comes on very smooth and just gets stronger the higher the revs. The ride felt good but a bit of dive in the front braking. (I haven't even set the sag yet ). Handling feels good. Not quite as precise as the 954 but on par with my ZX9R. I still have to ride it a bit more before I can say for sure. Some maintenance issues to deal with and I'll be putting in some more miles. This weekend it's new chain and an oil change. Next comes brake lines and the front forks.
