Lightbulb First Bike/First Hawk

N00b to forum here. This site rocks! tons of usefull stuff. I've seen so many amazing hawks on here. Not totally sure how to use all the stuff on here so be patient.

So I got my first bike a few months ago, and i gotta say, LOOOOOOOOOVE it! But im never happy with stock. NVER NVER NVER. So I have a lota stuff on my plate. Plans plans plans. Right now its mostly cosmetic stuff for now. So please keep this thread in mind as I complete my masterpiece (hopefully a masterpiece), piece by piece. When im done I plan on having a one-off hawk-0.0.h.

I will post pics of stock bike soon, along with info on planned upgrades. I'm a little distractable so you guys keep me company for the ride.

Welcome. glad to have you aboard. First bike recommendation: restrict your distractability to pursuits other than those related to working on/riding your newfound love lest distractability may become destructibiliy. Don't ask how I know this.

Does your GXP have the factory Alcoa wheels? Those were pretty nice for stock wheels.

Technically yes, however...GM did two different versions of this wheel. I believe alco is only stamped on certain ones. Just like Some GXP's had a 6-disc changer and some didnt.

Welcome to motorcycling. Personally, I'd wait to get your "sea legs" before spending money on cosmetics. Chances are good you'll tip the bike over at some point. Once you get over the embarrassment, that's when you start the mods.

To be honest im not too worried about tipping. This is my "show" bike. I haven't used but maybe 65%-70% of what she can do. Next riding season I plan on buying a "stunting" bike. Besides I have T-rex's on the way, roflmfao

Thanks Motojoe. I have been using the search thouroghly. I am still having some trouble with my intergrated tail light though. I havent been able to find any diagram of how to wire the signals in. There are only 2 wires!!! Is this normal for left and right signals? I guess I expected for for the signals.

The ground for the brake light might be integrated into the turn signals on the circuitboard. So the two turn signal wires would both be hot and go to the light blue wire and the orange wire. But that's just a guess. How many wires does the new dodad have?
