exhaust leak
exhaust leak
So I have a hole in the pipe that the right Slip-on directly fits into. Its right at the bracket under the right foot peg. The hole is aprox. 1/2" x1/4".
1. What is the name of that piece of exhaust pipe? Is it the midpipe?
2. Will the exhaust leak harm my bike mechanically? Is it ok to ride until I can find a replacement pipe or should I not ride it at all.
3. Does anyone have that part for sale?
I found the leak when I started my bike when I was about to come home from work today. I made the 60 mile ride home and other than my bike sounding like **** I did not notice a difference in performance or even millage.
Any help with the part name or if you have one for sale would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rudy

I wouldn't let that stop you from riding but I would use this opportunity to start using earplugs so you'll be able to enjoy that loud music in the future. I've seen the midpipes for sale on ebay several times. Check our classifieds and/or post it there. you can make a patch out of sheet metal and a couple hose clamps temporarily.
Sounds like you're talking about the midpipe. I don't know how easy a LeoVince midpipe will be to find, why not just have it tig welded by someone who knows what they're doing. Prob won't cost much. Sure it'll be cheaper than buying a new one.
