I'm finding out the VTR is no different than any other bike when it comes to buying parts. Everything is priced in $100 intervals. I'm planning on replacing the factory CCTs with manuals, so I looked into getting some new head cover gaskets just in case the 24 year old originals need to be replaced. These gaskets are sold individually (which you'd think they'd come as a pair), and they are almost $40 each. So basically, by the time I pay tax and shipping, it'll be $100 for two tiny little rubber gaskets. WTH? Really? The pair of Ape tensioners with the gaskets was also almost $100. I'm getting a small break on the rectifier regulator as I'm buying a used one off of ebay, so it's a little cheaper...I see this thing is going to $100 me to death...I guess I gotta pay to play...
