I didn't make it past page one on the link. I was laughing so hard I couldn't sit in the chair.
The one comment about ruining a perfectly good VTR was especially touching.
I have ridden this motorcycle and Nick has been in my shop more than once. The Air Force is going to be happy to get him in Jan. He's a bold mechanic, experienced rider and an all-round good guy. Anybody who buys a VTR in California and drives it 1700 miles home to Texas is someone with a high pain threshold. That story is only mildly less hilarious as his method of repelling down a 80' cliff without the motorcycle.
The Superhawk and it's engine offer many options for customization at a low cost. The forks look a little long to me too but he might be thinking of a larger rear as well.

Haha, looks like my project is spreading(it's probably the sticker).
I'm perfectly aware that there are risks to what I'm doing and I'm fine with that. It's boring if there is no risk, and also I want to try something different.
I am not going to be taking this to the track, nor do I intend to subject it to abuse until I am confident in it. And even then, I shall slowly increase the stress to test its capabilities.
Also, I have plenty of faith in my mechanical abilities.
