Cool Dunlop Q2's

Just got an email from Cycle Gear...Q's 209.99 a set for 120/180 and 219.99 for 120/190. I predicted this sale when the Q'3s were announced!

Hmm, and I seem to need tires...

But cycle gear is 60 miles away, and my wife gets employee pricing at her dealership, plus Im pretty sure one of the techs will mount um for the cost of a 6 pack...

Decisions, decisions....No Q2s at the dealership though....

Just mounted up my second set of Q2's on the Hawk. $226 shipped from Cycle Gear 3 months ago. They had an even better sale in December 2011. $200 a set.

I love the tires. Good handling and sticky. Poor mileage, but I don't care. I want sticky and a good track day tire.

I don't commute. Mostly ride twisties. Usually don't ride rain but wet roads sometimes.

Actually I'm running Stones BT-016's because when I bought the bike 01/12 they were on sale at $199.99 a pair. They're very good tires, plenty of grip but truth be told I've been a Dunlop guy for 40 years. As far as Michelins well I'm sorry but I boycotted anything French except wine after 9/11.

Have I compared the 2 no, will I no, the French are dead to me and I'm half French! Give me another order of American Fries please!

PS
There is nobody racing Michelins and hasn't been for @ 5 years. It's all Bridgestone, Dunlop, and Pirelli so why would anyone think they've kept up?

Will take that into consideration, I am in need of a new rear tire only, but the q2s are cheap right now. I might just be wasteful and buy a new set. My buddy will take my old front tire!
