Another option would be the Metzeler Tourances but I'm not sure in a sumo application. They do get nice reviews from the ADV/DS riders, especially over the Avon Distanzias.

to ftms- I am more likely to try and pop it up with this than the hawk.
I dont plan on riding this in the dirt as i have the tw200 for the trails and such. this is my "street fun but not go insanely fast bike".
