Might be selling off Mods soon -

I'm putting this out there more as a heads up for those that might be in the market for some VTR aftermarket stuff. It's not off the bike yet, but I'm thinking seriously about selling my '98 and I'd take off the goods before doing so.

Here's the list:
Vortex clip-ons ($70) - sold
Ohlins shock, 190lb rider ($465) - sold
Carbon hugger ($50, some blems in clear coat)
Coerce rearsets ($195, slight bend in right side plate, affects nothing) sold
Coerce Sprocket guard ($45)
EBC pro-lite rotors (used 3months) ($200) - sold
Scotts Damper mount only ($55) - sold
Hyperpro damper w/mount, leaky seal ($50)
Complete set Sharkskinz Body work (upper - some rash + solo tail) ($215) - sold
Extra red solo seat cover ($50)

All prices do not include shipping. I live in 14127 (near Buffalo, NY) and will only charge ACTUAL shipping, no inflation.

I think that's it. I'll post up when I'm ready to let it all go. (is this considered a tease?)

My e-bay ID is dk74 if you want to check feedback (over 100 transaction, 100%)

(rotors not installed)

Lot's of yummy stuff there folks just in time for the holidays!

Besides, there's lots of things your kids can do with a lump of coal in their stockings; complete that snowman, face painting, sidewalk painting, make a small fire. The possibilities are endless!

I guess this is where e-bay simplifies things ;-) And I wasn't prepared with pics and all that when I posted my "teaser", so shame on me.

Redlinetech pm'd me about the seat at 5:24pm, btw. But I'll keep tabs on who expressed interest in what/when, then when I'm ready I'll offer it to those parties in order, giving people a chance to either paypal or send a money order.

thanks,
Darren

Actually I didn't think of that. I do have a brand new tail and cowl in the box I figured I'd mount before selling the bike. The one you see in the pic I just left on all the time, but it does have a scuff/wear on the widest part of the right side and the tail. Also the cover is missing the tab the grabs the rear of the seat, but I rigged a clean looking solution to that.

Unless you meant the sharkskinz fiberglass solo tail??

Either way, pics coming of all the goods soon.

I'm about to annoy a bunch of people right now, and I DO apologize for that. A deal just popped up that I am unable to refuse, so the "might sell" part of my original post is about to come into play, for the most part.

Here's the deal. I will be trading the VTR (minus the ohlins) with all of the aftermarket candy, for a '06 cbr600rr with 3weeks riding time before the highly skilled operator decided to allow the insurance company to take full ownership. The negative is that it will come with a PA salvage title and minus front bodywork, but aside from that it is in pretty great shape. It will be my track bike and possible street ride if I go through the inspection process.

The possible light at the end of the tunnel is that the person taking ownership of my vtr, will also be interested in selling the aftermarket items, but more than likely he will use his e-bay store for that. I will direct him to this board in case he'd like to skip the listing fees and sell directly to you all.

The items I will still be offering for sale are the following:
Ohlins (waiting to hear from vtrgeoff and 1other on that)

Full sharkskinz bodywork (1piece upper + tail)

oem tail and cover with painted yellow number plate (vinyl numbers)

Carbon TBR slip-ons (freshly repacked), but with riveted id tags removed (still have one of them)...cans only, connector high-mounts are going w/bike.

Scotts damper mount (t-rex) - sold

Again, I'm sorry for the roller coaster ride ... this just worked out a bit differently than I expected.

If Stumpy doesn't want the set for $215, waiting to hear from him on that, then I'll sell the sharkskinz tail for $100 :-)

They are the tbr round carbon cans. They are discolored a bit from use and sun fade, but freshly repacked with glass and stainless rivets.

edit: FOUND THE connectors (sorry for yelling, I was happy).. but they are Low mount... no hangers or springs.

$190 for the set + shipping.

btw, these pipes are, how shall I put it, excessively throaty sounding ;-) and are not cosmetically perfect as the pics will show... one good low-side ground one of the corners and scuffed one of the connectors. Great for the track though.

Hey,

So long as I'm not stepping on anyone's toes, I'd like to take a look at the Sharkskins bodywork. If you have a pic, please post it, or pm it if you can. I think I'd like to put my name in the hat. Thanks.
