Thumbs up The Dragon VIDEO

Well I finally got to go to The Dragon (Deals Gap) . We started out on our standard weekend ride in the north Georgia mountains when we decided there was just too many Cops in the area ,decided to just stay on U.S 129 all the way up to N.C . After about a 1.5 hour ride ( that was totally worth it) we arrived at the famous Dragon . This place is a 2 wheel paradise ! Although it was a little crowded , the had a Mazda Rx meet of some kind going on and the usual hundreds of bikes . Having never been up there I wasnt quite sure what to expect . Started our first run with the intention of just cruising through and getting a feel for the road , After the first mile or so those intentions slowly vanished we stepped up the pace ( with me leading) . Then we started running into traffic (cruisers , cars and even a shuttle bus ) . I told myself before we arrived that I wouldnt pass on the double yellow ( another intention that vanished ) . But this road is just to fun to let go to waste . After making the first pass and putting some distance on my buddy on his GSXR ( who was still stuck behind the first SUV) the count on cars & bikes kept climbing ( so much for not passing on the DBL yellow rule) . After watching the video I think I counted 10 cars & bikes .I must say before the I wake up all the safe riding bashers .. ALL PASSING DONE WITH PLENTY OF DISTANCE TO SEE WHATS COMING . Eventualy I will post the video so you guys can see. I cant wait to go back ! Hopefully I can make it up there in June . For anyone who hasnt been . IT IS WORTH THE TRIP ! http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/Orde...433&po=1433&c= http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/Orde...636&po=3636&c=

Deals Gap Video

Here is my video from The Dragon last weekend . It starts off kinda slow ( because it was our first run, a LEO & traffic) . It gets better once I get around some traffic . And yes I know I shouldnt pass on the double yellow .....But I couldnt take it anymore . Well here it is , I hope it makes everyone ready to ride THE DRAGON !http://videos.streetfire.net/video/0...1f01809f23.htm

Do you have a copy without music? Not that your music selection didn't rock, because it did.
I would love to hear the motor working thru the curves.
Sweet vid.

I do , but the mics been peaked out , so all you hear is wind noise ( thats why I always add the the music ). I would rather hear the engine also ! I hope to get a new video set up in the future with a mic that works.

Wish we had roads like that here...

The in the red van needs manners...

I'm all for not passing in restricted zones (no yellow lines here in Sweden) but I can safely say that I would have taken off much earlier than you did...

Unfortunately here our **** politicians keep bulldozing the roads flat and straigth... and then they put laughable speed restrictions on them...

A road like that would take them 10 minutes to decide about... "It invites riders on unsafe soon to be outlawed highpowered bikes to ride in unsafe ways... bla bla... yada yada..."

Sorry... my RR's dead (new one later today or tomorrow) it's sunny out and they just closed my favourite windy road for "improvement"...

Edit: Oh and they just trippeled the tax on the traffic insurance for sportsbikes... I somehow feel unwanted here...
