Don't see a Newb Section, so General will do;-)

Hello all,

Been trying to get back to a fun bike for a while now, had a cruiser and hated it, so found someone that had been getting into too much trouble on his bike and traded the 1998 Suzuki Marauder and 500 bucks for the 2000 Yellow Superhawk with 14k miles on it.

Had tried to make the Suzuki fun and I"m pretty meticulous to things working correctly so had done the following to it: Pair removal, valve adjustment, Vesrah Clutch, and Clutch springs, chain, sproket, V&H exhaust, jet kit, forward controls, 3 sets of bars and the bike was pretty much flawless with 18k on it, ran Way better than when i got it. Now I have this bike, my soon to be set up for me bundle of joy

It came with this that I can see so far: Double bubble screen, Undertail, LED turns front and rear, Hugger - which is messed up so I'm probably going to pull it off and fiberglass the tips so it will mount correctly. Jardine High mounts and that's about all I can see.

I will do the Pair removal, or whatever it is you guys call it here, then the CCT will be done ASAP as I had an old CBR600 go bad I will be dynoing it next Week or the week after to read the Air fuel and will decide if I'm doing filter/jet kit etc once I get to see the graph, power, hear it on the dyno, etc... I plan on keeping this bike for a LONG time - I start a new job on Monday - and my commute to work just shot up about 4 times what it is now, still pretty short but my drive before was only 4 miles, now it's around 21 each way

Biggest plans first are to clean and lube, read plugs replace if needed, clean and degrease it, and Handlebars - trying to decide on VFR bars or Superbike setup - leaning toward VFR's for now as in the future I'm going to do an USD fork swap - Oh, my background was stunting, which lead to Streetfighters, and then bad rugby injury and then cruisers due to wrist issues.

Anyway, getting off the soapbox, utilizing the search feature alot in the beginning - and am a big subscriber to messages so tend to get on a few and watch the rest.

LMAO I've always "kinda" liked yellow, but never would have bought one, now I might. The GTS was a straight up trade for an old 4Runner I had built pretty good for offloading but it still had the stock 3.slow in it, this bike I traded across for the 1998 Marauder, both just happened to be yellow and I happen to have fell in love with them both

The bike is clearly labeled as Lisa's in the driveway. You should probably get one for yourself too

What kind of garage door do you have there or is it all sliding bugscreens?

Regular garage door but I have the slide over bugscreens in the front, LOVE it especially for Welding in the garage and stuff, it will let the air flow out, and when your working it lets the air come in and out, very nice

Worth it's weight in gold to me because I'm in the garage alot.

Haha to the Lisa comment, that's my woman, and was playing around with the pressure washer she got me the other day
