Did another track day

Went up and did another track day yesterday, a bit overcast but the rain held off. I did some control riding for the 1st time and it was cool helping out the newbs but it put me in a different mind set for the day. It was the first time I've gone and didn't improve my lap times and actually fell back a bit. I had a hard time going from control rider taking it easy and trying to spot those that needed help to expert group going all out. Good experience but I need to figure out how to transition better if I do it again.

Sorry your attempt didn't go for better times but a big ^5 for one for the troops! I can understand that that would be a difficult transition to make. I know I ride different when I'm riding flank for my son. You got one more try in your tires don't you or do they go away that fast? I'm confident that you'll get it done before spring. Does the track or the schools give you a little something for your effort? Got to be a good learning experience!

Thanks, tires are pretty much toast, I already had a day and a half on them before and they look like slicks on the left side now,(mostly left hand turns on this track). As far as getting something, a pat on the back and a brand new xxxxl bright yellow T-shirt! I'm going back next week,(yes I know I have a problem), no control riding just focus on getting it done.
