Did my first track day at Barber
Last Saturday. I did a NESBA trackday at Barber.
What a BLAST it was!!
The SH actually did pretty good.
The Michelin Pilot Powers did very good.
The track is really something. Some turns are so stinkin' wide, I almost felt lost. At times I thought I might need to just drive around IN the turn looking for the race line and the way out of the turn!
Then there are those turns you enter blind. They occur over the crest of a hill and you just have to trust that somebody didn't run out there and move the track since your last lap.
Fortunately, the track never got moved and it was always right where it was the previous lap. It just took some time to feel comfortable charging into a turn that you really couldn't see until you get to the point of entering the turn.
Suprisingly, it's not as fast as I'd have expected. You never have to get out of third gear.
There were a few nasty looking crashes but nobody seriously hurt.
I'm signed up for the Saturday NESBA day in May, and really look forward to it.
I encourage all to try and visit the track for a day of riding if at all possible.
You're sure to have a great time.

Errr ummmm I....well I kinda doubt it. I'm going to Jennings April 23rd and 24th for my brothers B-day, I finally talked him into going. I try to get to the track about every 3-4 months so maybe the time after this.
